Mr. Saxophone

Get ready for an interactive show that’s entertaining as well as educational, with an emphasis on informing kids of the wondrous variety of instruments and musical styles from around the world.  With costumes, musical instruments, and props to let the kids get in on the fun, you won’t want to miss this woodwind whirlwind.

Animal Wonders: Diversity of Life

The sheer amount of biological diversity on the Earth is incredible. There are approximately 8.7 million different species on the earth today! Dan Cowell will discuss and show a variety of living organisms from hissing cockroaches to Amazon parrots, the genetic differences among them, and the communities and ecosystems in which they occur.

Puddle Jumper Days Spelling Bee - Odessa

All local S-P-E-L-L-E-R-S join the Odessa Branch for our traditional Puddle Jumper Spelling Bee. Prizes are given to our top spellers, sponsored by the Odessa Friends of the Library! If you are between the ages of 6 to 115 then come and put your mind to the challenge while cooling off in the library or cheer on the spellers.
