Knob Noster Circulation Clerk II - 19 hour position

Library Director

Trails Regional Library seeks an exceptional and innovative library professional to fill the position of Library Director. 
Trails Regional Library has a population of 80,000+ residents and a staff of 54 with an annual budget of $3.3 million.  The library serves agricultural, manufacturing, and business communities in Lafayette and Johnson counties in Missouri.  The library system, headquartered in Warrensburg, also serves a diverse university population in the University of Central Missouri.  Amtrak has a station in the region.  Whiteman Air Force Base is located near Knob Noster.  Two coast-to-coast highways, I-70 and Highway 50, traverse our district.  Kansas City, with its many sports teams, fountains, and rich culture, is just a short drive to the west.  Kansas City is in the process of updating its international airport.
Our patrons are sophisticated users of information in many formats.  They expect cutting-edge library services, collections, programs, and opportunities for personal development.  Trails Regional Library has branches in eight communities which are an integral part of community life.
The position requires the Library Director to have highly effective communication skills to work with a diverse population of patrons and staff.  The director must employ innovative interactions to connect with officials, boards, community leaders, and government representatives.
